The Holy Ghost

John 14:15-17 The Holy Ghost must be given by proper authority. To receive it we must love God and follow His commandments, praying always.

John 14:26-27 The Holy Ghost teaches us and helps us to remember the things that we have been taught.  It also brings us comfort and helps us to not be troubled or afraid.

John 15:26-27 The Holy Ghost testifies of Christ.

John 16:7-8  The Comforter came when Christ left.  It reproves the world of sin.

John 16:13-14  The Holy Ghost shares messages with us from God.

The Holy Ghost strengthens every natural part of our bodies’ goodness.  It lightens our eyes and literally radiates a beauty and light from within our souls.  It is the proof that we have received Him in our countenance.  The Holy Ghost is also a Spirit in the likeness of God.  He strengthens and enlightens the minds that have proven themselves worthy.

After the Savior died, He sent the Holy Ghost to sustain his apostles and guide them in their teachings.  They were able to use the Holy Ghost to receive messages from God and use it to help them in understanding more fully the doctrine they were teaching.

There have been several times that the Holy Ghost has not just touched, but changed my life.  I recently received a box which contained several pictures from when I was younger.  As I was going through them I saw a picture of some of my friends in Utah.  One day a friend of mine in Houston who was not a member saw it and commented on how pretty they all were.  I knew that their beauty was due to having the Holy Ghost and that it was literally shining through their physical countenance.  I made a commitment that day to always have the Spirit with me.
